Sample Project: Grant Reporting and Process
Name of Organization: Portland Nonprofit
Tell us about your organization: We are a medium sized nonprofit with a mission to raise awareness of the environment and the actions individuals and corporations can take to reduce their footprint on this earth.
Project Title: Grant Reporting and Process

Project Description: Our nonprofit is fairly new and is still developing strong planning and reporting processes. Our most critical need is a tool and process to help us track the timing, deliverables and commitments for all grants that we have been awarded (we currently have approximately 12 active grants). We need a process that will trigger a grant owner as to any grant milestones or reporting sufficiently PRIOR to due date. We also need a repository for all grant reporting.
Key Deliverables:
- The review of ALL active grants to extract the due dates and deliverables for any grant requirements
- The creation of a tool (simple database or spreadsheet) and a documented process (who does what when?) to add new awarded grants, trigger deliverables, ensure reviews and approvals, etc.
- Training on how to use this for the Leadership team and any grant owners
